5lbs down!

So I haven't used this blog like I intended to when I made it, but I just thought that I'd give an update on my progress. I did really good for a couple of weeks when I first started this, then I quit for a little while. I started back up about a month ago and this time I am sticking with it. I am now 150lbs. and still losing! I really had to stop eating like I did when I was pregnant, which was extremely difficult at first. It took a little while for me to get used to eating less. Now I feel full with a lot less food. Throughout the month I slowly made small changes to my diet so that I could get used to everything. My breakfasts and lunches are pretty similar daily, which helps me out a lot. I used to eat a lot of the same things before changing my diet, but now I am making much healthier choices. I usually eat 2 eggs, a slice of whole wheat toast and a yogurt for breakfast. For lunch I usually eat a lunch meat sandwich with tomatoes and avocados on it. Sometimes I will eat a veggie burger when I want to switch it up a bit. I try to have plenty of fruit to snack on during the day. Steven is not on a diet so I just try to watch my portion sizes at dinner time. I still try to make a few healthier substitutes for dinner though.

We have done great at keeping the ice cream out of the house! On Friday Steven brought me an ice cream sundae from McDonalds and it was so delicious. I think that only eating ice cream occasionally makes it taste even better!

Catch up post..

I haven't posted anything on here in a couple of days. Sometimes it is hard to take the time to do this with a baby! Wednesday I was good and didn't over eat! I am pretty proud of myself. I don't remember what I ate though. Yesterday I did pretty good too. Steven wanted to go to McDonalds to get some ice cream though, so I gave in. He needs to stop tempting me! :) I have been getting in some exercise everyday too. On Tuesday I went for a walk with Ellie. Yesterday I did Bob's Boot camp and my Hip hop exercise video. I bought a new video called 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels. It kicked my butt! The exercises were all ones I can do, but they were all difficult. It's nonstop movement for 20 minutes. I could really feel my muscles burning when I was doing the exercises. This was only level 1 too! I watched levels 2 and 3 and they are going to be tough when I get to them. I've been doing pretty well so far today with eating. I've had a Peanut butter and banana sandwich with a glass of milk. Hopefully I will be strong today and I won't eat any junk food!

I started out good...

This morning I was good and got out of bed and did Bob's Boot camp. It is pretty tough for me right now, especially since most of my muscles haven't really been worked for a while (because of my pregnancy). I was good about eating for most of the day too. I had a bowl of multigrain cheerios for breakfast, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of milk for lunch. When I went to Walmart to buy stuff for dinner I bought a couple of extra things though. I bought some small ice cream sandwiches. I am only allowed to have 1 a day if any. There were only 6 in the box so I won't be able to go too over board. I ate one of them. For dinner I made meatloaf. Meatloaf probably isn't super bad, but when you get a piece as big as the one I ate it is bad :s. I also had a serving of mashed potatoes, carrots and corn and not one but 2 pieces of texas toast with cheese... I know... Pretty bad. Hopefully I do much better tomorrow. I bought some yogurt and string cheese at Walmart as well so I will have some healthy snack choices tomorrow.

Carl's Jr... :p

So I was planning on eating healthy today, but my husband really wanted Carl's Jr. so we ate crappy today. The sad part is that I didn't even enjoy it. I ate chili cheese fries and a chocolate milkshake. The calories for those two things ended up being about 1700. That is a whole day's worth of calories! I didn't think it would be that bad. earlier in the day I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a granola bar and a few chips (4 or 5). I guess I am done eating for the day! I am planning on doing Bob's bootcamp for some exercise tonight. Maybe a few other exercises as well :). Well hopefully I will do better tomorrow!

The need for change

For the past 3 or 4 years I have been struggling with my weight. In high school and part of college I weighed about 125 lbs. A few years ago I put on about 30 lbs and haven't been able to lose it. I have tried a whole bunch of different exercise programs but have always given up. I have also tried switching to a healthy diet but I've never stuck with it. I really don't want to give up this time. I really miss feeling healthy. I always felt a little chubby when I was 125 lbs, but now I really miss weighing that much.
I had my first baby 8 weeks ago. I lost the pregnancy weight about 2 weeks after I had my baby. Since then I have been stuck at 155 lbs. I feel disgusting and very unattractive. Now I am really ready to get back to the weight I need to be. I am using this blog as a motivator. I plan on holding myself accountable for everything I eat and for the amount of exercise I get each day by posting it all on here. I will also take pictures and update my weight loss (well hopefully weight loss) weekly. Anybody that happens to read this blog can feel free to comment on here. If I know people are looking at this I will have to stick with it! :)
